Terms and Conditions for BASCAR RENTALS

These Terms and Conditions ("Agreement") govern the rental of vehicles from BASCAR RENTALS ("we," "us," or "our"). By renting a vehicle from BASCAR RENTALS, you ("Renter" or "Customer") agree to abide by these terms. Please read them carefully before completing your booking.

1. Rental Agreement

  • The rental of a vehicle from BASCAR RENTALS is subject to availability and confirmation.
  • The Renter must be at least 21 years of age (or the minimum age as required by local laws) and possess a valid driver’s license and a credit card in their name.
  • Renters must provide accurate information during the booking process. Any false or misleading information may result in the cancellation of the rental agreement.

2. Vehicle Usage

  • The vehicle rented is to be used exclusively by the Renter and additional authorized drivers listed on the rental agreement.
  • The Renter agrees not to use the vehicle for any illegal or unauthorized activities, including but not limited to:
    • Transporting goods or passengers for commercial purposes.
    • Driving under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or any other substances that impair driving ability.
    • Participation in racing, speed tests, or any competitive events.
  • Smoking inside the vehicle is strictly prohibited.
  • The vehicle should not be driven off-road, on unpaved roads, or outside of designated rental areas unless expressly permitted.

3. Rental Duration

  • The rental period begins at the time of pick-up and ends at the time of return, as stated in the rental agreement. Additional charges will apply if the vehicle is not returned on time.
  • Early returns do not result in a refund for unused days, and late returns may incur additional charges.

4. Payment and Charges

  • The Renter is responsible for paying all rental charges, including the base rental fee, taxes, insurance, fuel, and any additional services or items (such as GPS, child car seats, etc.) requested during the rental.
  • A valid credit card is required for payment and to cover potential damages or additional charges. A security deposit may be placed at the time of rental.
  • Any traffic violations, fines, or legal fees incurred during the rental period are the responsibility of the Renter.

5. Insurance and Liability

  • BASCAR RENTALS provides basic insurance coverage for the rental vehicle, but the Renter may be required to purchase additional insurance for greater protection.
  • The Renter is responsible for all damages to the vehicle, including but not limited to accidents, theft, vandalism, and damage caused by improper use or neglect.
  • In the event of an accident, the Renter must report the incident to BASCAR RENTALS immediately and cooperate with any investigations.

6. Fuel Policy

  • The vehicle is provided with a full tank of gas and must be returned with a full tank. If the vehicle is returned with less fuel, the Renter will be charged for the missing fuel plus a refueling fee.

7. Vehicle Return

  • The vehicle must be returned on the agreed date and time. Failure to return the vehicle on time will result in additional charges.
  • The Renter is responsible for returning the vehicle in the same condition it was rented, including the exterior and interior cleanliness.

8. Cancellation and Modifications

  • Cancellations made within [X hours/days] of the scheduled rental time may incur a cancellation fee.
  • Modifications to the booking are allowed depending on availability and may incur additional charges.

9. Additional Drivers

  • Additional drivers may be added to the rental agreement for a small fee. All additional drivers must meet the same rental requirements as the primary Renter and be listed in the rental agreement.

10. Customer Responsibilities

  • The Renter is responsible for ensuring the safe operation of the vehicle, including maintaining the vehicle’s oil, water, and tire pressure.
  • The Renter must report any mechanical issues or damages to BASCAR RENTALS immediately.
  • In the event of theft, loss, or accident, the Renter must notify BASCAR RENTALS and the relevant authorities immediately.

11. Privacy Policy and Communications

  • BASCAR RENTALS collects personal information as described in our Privacy Policy.
  • By agreeing to these terms, the Renter consents to receive communication from us, including reservation confirmations, updates, and promotional materials. You can opt-out of promotional texts by replying "STOP."

12. Indemnity

  • The Renter agrees to indemnify and hold harmless BASCAR RENTALS, its employees, and affiliates from any claims, damages, or liabilities arising from the use of the rental vehicle, including accidents, theft, or damage caused by negligence or improper use.

13. Governing Law

  • These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the state of Texas. Any disputes arising from this Agreement will be resolved in the courts of Harris County, Texas.

14. Changes to Terms and Conditions

  • BASCAR RENTALS reserves the right to update or change these Terms and Conditions at any time. All changes will be posted on this page, and the "Effective Date" will be updated accordingly. It is the Renter's responsibility to review these Terms and Conditions regularly.
