Driver Registration Agreement for BASCAR RENTALS

Effective Date: [01/01/2024]

This Driver Registration Agreement ("Agreement") sets forth the terms and conditions under which a person ("Driver" or "Renter") is registered to drive a vehicle rented from BASCAR RENTALS ("we," "us," or "our"). By registering as a Driver, you agree to comply with all conditions outlined below.

1. Driver Eligibility

To be eligible to drive a vehicle from BASCAR RENTALS, the Driver must meet the following requirements:

  • Be at least 21 years of age (or the minimum age required by applicable local laws).
  • Hold a valid driver’s license issued by a governmental authority in the United States or an international equivalent.
  • Have a clean driving record with no major violations (such as DUI or reckless driving) in the last 3 years.
  • Possess a valid credit card in the Driver's name to secure payment and deposits.
  • Provide proof of insurance coverage if required, or agree to purchase insurance offered by BASCAR RENTALS.

2. Required Documentation

At the time of vehicle pickup, the Driver must provide the following:

  • Valid driver’s license: A government-issued license that is valid for the entire rental period.
  • Credit card: A valid credit card in the Driver’s name for payment and security deposit.
  • Proof of Identity: A passport or any other document required to verify identity (if applicable).
  • Proof of Address: A recent utility bill or bank statement may be required for address verification.

3. Additional Drivers

  • Additional drivers must meet the same eligibility criteria and be listed on the rental agreement.
  • Each additional driver must sign a registration form and provide a valid driver’s license and proof of insurance.
  • A fee may apply for each additional driver added to the rental agreement.

4. Driver’s Responsibilities

The Driver agrees to:

  • Operate the rented vehicle safely, in accordance with all applicable laws and traffic regulations.
  • Ensure that the vehicle is not used for illegal purposes, including, but not limited to, the following:
    • Driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
    • Engaging in racing, stunts, or reckless driving.
    • Using the vehicle for commercial purposes without prior authorization.
  • Notify BASCAR RENTALS immediately in case of any accident, damage, or mechanical issues with the vehicle during the rental period.
  • Not allow unauthorized persons to drive the vehicle. Only drivers registered with BASCAR RENTALS may operate the rental vehicle.
  • Return the vehicle in the same condition as received, including cleanliness and fuel levels.

5. Prohibited Uses of the Vehicle

The Driver agrees not to:

  • Use the vehicle in violation of any law or ordinance.
  • Allow the vehicle to be driven by anyone not authorized by BASCAR RENTALS.
  • Drive the vehicle outside of designated rental areas without prior approval.
  • Use the vehicle for towing or carrying goods unless pre-approved by BASCAR RENTALS.

6. Insurance

  • BASCAR RENTALS provides basic insurance coverage, but the Driver may choose to purchase additional coverage to protect against potential damage or theft.
  • If the Driver opts out of additional insurance, the Driver is fully responsible for any damage to the vehicle, theft, or accidents during the rental period.
  • The Driver must adhere to all requirements and responsibilities outlined in the insurance policy.

7. Security Deposit

  • A security deposit will be required at the time of rental. The deposit will cover potential damages, fuel costs, or other charges incurred during the rental period.
  • The deposit will be refunded after the vehicle is returned in good condition, provided there are no additional charges.

8. Vehicle Pickup and Return

  • The Driver must pick up the vehicle on the agreed-upon date and time and return it by the designated return time.
  • Failure to return the vehicle on time may result in additional charges.
  • Any damage or alterations to the vehicle must be reported immediately to BASCAR RENTALS.

9. Violation of Terms

Failure to comply with the terms and conditions of this Agreement, including unauthorized use of the vehicle, may result in immediate termination of the rental contract and additional charges. BASCAR RENTALS reserves the right to refuse rental services to any Driver who violates these terms.

10. Driver’s Consent and Acknowledgment

By signing below, the Driver acknowledges and agrees to:

  • Provide accurate information during the registration process.
  • Abide by all terms and conditions set forth in this Agreement.
  • Assume full responsibility for the rental vehicle during the rental period.
  • Pay all charges, including damages, traffic fines, and other fees associated with the rental.
